Paraprofessional- Special Education
Job Description:
-Provide one-on-one instructional support to a student in compliance with the student’s IEP.
-Assists in presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises in compliance with the student's IEP.
-Assists students in their personal hygiene. Ex. Help with feeding, cleaning up, toileting, changing diapers.
-Assists in management and shaping of student behavior through use of positive reinforcement strategies.
-Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students and related educational matters.
-Maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents, and general public.
(Minimal duties listed, other duties may be assigned by the Special Education Teacher/Building Principal)

-Perform general clerical duties for instructional personnel (i.e., copying, filing, and typing).
-Assists in management and shaping of student behavior through use of positive reinforcement strategies.
-Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students and related educational matters.
-Maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents, and general public.

Students explored career options and attended Digger Days yesterday. Looking at different careers in construction, emergency medicine and assembled belt buckles at Montana Silversmiths.
